Edward McMillan —Chairman of the Board of Directors of NutraCea
Edward L. McMillan has been a director since October 2005. Mr. McMillan also owns and manages McMillan LLC., a transaction consulting firm which provides strategic consulting services and facilitates mergers and acquisitions, predominantly in the food and agribusiness industries. He was also a Director for the The RiceX Company from July 2004 to October 2005. Prior to working for Agri Business Group Inc. from August 1997 to April 1999, Mr. McMillan was President and CEO of Purina Mills Inc., a role he began in January 1988.

Previously, he held a number of senior-level management positions for Purina Mills and Ralston Purina, Inc. and Purina Mills. Mr. McMillan currently serves on the boards of Balchem Inc. (AMEX:BCP), Durvet Inc., Newco Enterprises Inc., CHB LLC, and Hintzsche Inc. Mr. McMillan also serves as Chair of the University of Illinois Research Park LLC and the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
W. John Short—CEO of NutraCea
Mr. Short joined NutraCea as President in July 2009. He brings over 25 years experience to this newly created position having held senior positions with consumer products and financial services businesses in North America, South America, Asia and Europe including President & COO of Hong Kong-based Esprit Far East Ltd., CEO of Dusseldorf-based Esprit Europe, CEO of San Francisco-based global licensing company Esprit International, CEO/President & COO of Joe Boxer, Inc. and EVP North America of Miami based Sunglass Hut International.

Mr. Short also spent over a decade in corporate banking, government lending and financial institutions lending with Citibank in New York, Venezuela, Ecuador and Hong Kong. Mr. Short graduated from Dartmouth College and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Jim Lintzenich —Former President and Chief Operating Officer of SLM Corporation
James C. Lintzenich has been Director since October 2005. Also a Director of The RiceX Company since June 2003, Mr. Lintzenich serves as a management consultant to U.S. companies. Previously, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of SLM Corporation (Sallie Mae). From December 1982 to July 2000, Mr. Lintzenich held various senior management and financial positions, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of USA Group, Inc. Today, he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Student Loan Marketing Association (an SLM Corp. subsidiary) and the Lumina Foundation for Education.
Steven W. Saunders —President of Saunders Construction, Inc.
Steven W. Saunders, has been a Director since October 2005. From August 1998 to October 2005, Mr. Saunders was also a director of The RiceX Company. Mr. Saunders has been President of Saunders Construction Inc., a commercial construction firm, since February 1991. He is also President of Warwick Corporation, a business-consulting firm.
John J. Quinn —Chairman of NutraCea's Audit Committee
Quinn, who will chair the Audit Committee, has over 40 years of public accounting experience, primarily as an Assurance Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and Ernst & Young LLP.

From 1998 until retiring in 2008 from PwC, Quinn served in the National Office--Assurance Services in New York City and as Office Managing Partner in Indianapolis, Indiana. From 1993 to 1997 he was Director, Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Standard Management Corporation, a publicly-held financial services company with US and international operations. He spent the first 24 years of his career at Ernst & Young in Indianapolis becoming a partner in 1981. While at Ernst & Young he served as Chairman of the Indiana Insurance Industry Practice from 1987 to 1993.

Quinn currently serves on the boards of Central Indiana Community Foundation, a $600 million foundation where he served as Chair and headed the Audit Committee, and Legacy Fund, Inc., an affiliated foundation. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (cum laude) and the Kellogg Executive Program at Northwestern University.
Richard H. Koppes —Independent Director
Koppes is the former Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel of the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), the largest public pension fund in the United States with over $230 billion in assets. At CalPERS, Koppes, as second in command, was responsible for all legal advice for the System (including its fiduciary obligations), direction of the fund's corporate governance, and oversight of all internal auditing matters and public affairs activities.

Koppes is a program fellow at Stanford University's Rock Center and does private consulting for corporations. He is a former director of Valeant Pharmaceuticals (a NYSE-listed company) and Apria Healthcare. Koppes is the founder, past president and current administrative officer of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys and serves on the Boards of the Investor Research Responsibility Center (IRRC) institute and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). In October 2007, Koppes was presented with the NACD's Lifetime Achievement award (its highest honor) for his contributions to corporate governance.

Koppes received his B.A. in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University in 1968 and his J.D. from U.C.L.A. School of Law in 1971.
