NutraCea Teams Up with Feed the Children and Happy Hearts Fund to Bring Humanitarian Relief to Indonesian ChildrenOver Three Million Servings of NutraCea RiSolubles® to be Distributed to Indonesian Children Made Possible by Funding from Feed The ChildrenPHOENIX, AZ - June 25, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ —NutraCea (OTC Bulletin Board: NTRZ), along with Petra Nemcova, Founder of Happy Hearts Fund, and Larry Jones, Founder of Feed the Children announces a major initiative to feed tens of thousands of malnourished children in Indonesia. Presentations focusing on the global hunger crisis at the press reception will begin tonight at 6:30 pm at the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York City. In the past, NutraCea has partnered with various NGOs to bring its stabilized rice bran to impoverished and malnourished people in Central America, the Caribbean and Africa. The company has been working with Feed the Children in Malawi, Africa and had positive results with the people who consumed their product. This relationship is now being significantly expanded with a $500,000 purchase order from Feed the Children of NutraCea RiSolubles, a proprietary nutritional food source shown to reverse the effects of malnutrition in feeding programs, for distribution in Indonesia. Larry Jones, President and Founder of Feed The Children, sees this as a significant step in expanding the relationship with NutraCea. "Our previous initiative with NutraCea's RiSolubles in Malawi resulted in the meaningful improvement of the children's well-being. There are millions of malnourished and starving children around the world, and we are delighted to provide the funding and distribution of such an effective product to the children of Indonesia. We look forward to expanding our relationship with NutraCea and making this product available to many more children in other countries," stated Larry Jones. Petra Nemcova, Founder of Happy Hearts Fund, expressed her appreciation and support: "I am so pleased that NutraCea is bringing this wonderful nutritional product to the people in Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia. To help people to become self-sufficient gives them a purpose and a will to carry on. To give them food is life-saving; to restore their dignity is a blessing beyond measure." "Building partnerships and developing relationships with key organizations to help feed people in need is a personal goal, as well as a company mission," states Brad Edson, CEO of NutraCea. "As we make major business commitments and form strategic partnerships in Southeast Asia, it's imperative that we have the ability to distribute food on the ground in the countries that need help. Happy Hearts Fund and Feed The Children are organizations that can help us do that." "This significant purchase from Feed The Children will feed close to 20,000 kids for an entire school year; and we are delighted to be working with this fine organization that does so much to bring humanitarian aid to over 48 countries," added Adelman. NutraCea's rice bran is poised to become one of the world's leading and truly affordable combatants to malnutrition and world hunger, and a universally-available, all-natural nutritional food to bring better health for people worldwide. Happy Hearts Fund, founded by Petra Nemcova in 2004, after her survival from the tsunami, dedicates 30% of its funds to Indonesia. The mission of the organization is to aid children around the world who stuffer hardship as a result of natural, economic, and health related disasters. Happy Hearts Fund brought aid to children in Indonesia after the earthquakes in 2006. Feed the Children is a Christian, international, non-profit relief organization; their mission is to deliver food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to children and families who have suffered due to famine, war, poverty or natural disaster.
