NutraCea's stabilized rice bran provides a highly nutritious food source for emergency relief, as well as an effective food to help reverse the effects of malnutrition. In building its relationships with Happy Hearts Fund and expanding its relationship with Feed the Children, NutraCea will play an integral role in helping provide a stable food source for populations in need.

The cocktail reception will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with presentations starting at 7 p.m. Speakers will include Brad Edson, CEO, NutraCea; Petra Nemcova, Founder, Happy Hearts Fund; and Larry Jones, Founder, Feed the Children.

The Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum provides a synergistic backdrop for the event, as one if its current exhibits "Design for the Other 90%." features objects designed to aid the global population living below the poverty level and recovering from natural disaster.

Happy Hearts Fund, founded by Petra Nemcova in 2004, after her survival from the tsunami, dedicates 30% of its funds to Indonesia. The mission of the organization is to aid children around the world who stuffer hardship as a result of natural, economic, and health-related disasters. Happy Hearts Fund brought aid to children in Indonesia after the earthquakes in 2006.

Feed the Children is a Christian, international, non-profit relief organization; their mission is to deliver food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to children and families who have suffered due to famine, war, poverty or natural disaster.
