NutraCea Files Universal Shelf Registration Statement

PHOENIX, Jan. 30, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ —NutraCea (OTC Bulletin Board: NTRZ) announced today that it has filed a universal shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). If and when declared effective by the SEC, NutraCea may, from time to time, offer and sell under the universal shelf registration statement up to an aggregate of $125 million of common stock, preferred stock, depositary shares and/or warrants to purchase any of such securities, in one or more offering. The terms of any such future offering will be established at the time of the offering. Any offering of securities covered by the universal shelf registration statement will be made only by means of a written prospectus and prospectus supplement. Proceeds from the sale of any securities will be used for the purposes described in the prospectus or a prospectus supplement filed at the time of an offering.

PHOENIX, Jan. 24, 2008/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ —NutraCea (OTC Bulletin Board: NTRZ), a world leader in stabilized rice bran (SRB), nutrient research and technology, announced today that it has filed for provisional patent protection with the U.S. Patent and Trade Mark Office on its technology to stabilize wheat bran. This process for wheat bran stabilization was developed by NutraCea and is a modification and extension of its existing technology for the stabilization of rice bran. The provisional patent is also applicable to other cereal brans and oilseeds.
